Cara Membagi File dengan Winrar

Apakah kalian pernah kesulitan dalam meng-copy atau mem-burning file yang ukurannya sangat besar sehingga tidak memungkinkan untuk dimasukkan dalam Flashdisk atau CD? Pernahkah kalian melihat file yang terbagi menjadi beberapa bagian dan setiap bagian bernama 1, 2, 3, ..dst dibagian akhirnya? Nah sekarang saya mencoba menjelaskannya sedikit tentang hal diatas. Tentunya ini ditujukan unutk para sahabat yang belum mengetahuinya. Bagi yang sudah mengerti, anggaplah ini sebagai pengingat kembali.

File yang mempunyai nama sebuah angka urut dibelakangnya (misalnya 1, 2, 3,..dst) biasanya adalah file yang telah dibagi atau dipecah menjadi beberapa bagian. File ini biasanya digunakan bila ingin menguploadnya dan hostingan tempat mengupload memiliki batasan ukuran file. Jadi file itu harus dipecah dahulu agar bisa di upload. Bila file tersebut tidak dipecah, maka hostingan tersebut akan menolak untuk meng-uploadnya. Pembagian / pemecahan file juga digunakan bila file tersebut terlalu besar untuk di burning pada sebuah CD atau DVD. Bila file tersebut terdiri dari banyak file yang berukuran kecil sih tidak apa - apa. Tetapi bila satu file berukuran besar, misalnya 800 MB, bagaimana caranya mem-burning? Sedangkan ukuran maksimal suatu CD hanya sekitar 700 MB saja. Memakai DVD adalah pemecahannya mengingat DVD berukuran sekitar 4,7 G. Tetapi bila PC atau Laptop kita hanya memakai CD - Room, mana bisa kita memakai DVD yang telah berisi file yang kita burning tadi? Nah sekarang bagaimana caranya memecah file yang berukuran besar tersebut?

Sebenarnya banyak aplikasi yang bisa digunakan untuk membagi file yang berukuran besar, misalnya HJsplit. Tetapi mungkin sebagian besar tidak mengetahui apa itu HJsplit. Untuk itu saya menggunakan aplikasi bernama Winrar yang lebih dikenal untuk mengatasinya. Kalian pasti pernah tahu apa itu Winrar karena di setiap PC atau Laptop pasti terdapat aplikasi yang bernama Winrar.Winrar adalah aplikasi yang digunakan untuk meng-compress data menjadi file yang berformat RAR. Selain itu juga dapat digunakan untuk membuka file berformat RAR. Dari sebagian hosting atau situs untuk meng-upload selalu merekomendasikan file diubah menjadi file berformat RAR dulu sebelum di upload. Salah satu keuntungan file berformat RAR adalah file tersebut jarang sekali kemasukan virus (bila file yang dirubah menjadi format RAR tersebut adalah file berformat exe). Sebagian virus seperti Worm Sality, Heur (deteksi Antivirus AVG) menyerang file yang berekstensi / berformat exe yang menjadikan file berformat exe kita ukurannya menjadi lebih besar dari semestinya. Karena ukuran file berubah, maka sebagian program yang terserang tidak bisa dijalankan lagi dan muncul pesan error. Nah dengan merubah file kita menjadi format RAR, maka file kita akan terlindungi dari ancaman virus ini. Perlu diingat, jangan merubah file yang telah terinstal (biasanya di drive C:/Program Files) dengan format RAR karena akan menyebabkan fie tersebut tidak bisa dijalankan lagi. Tetapi kamu harus merubah atau meng-compress file master kita (file induk sebelum instalasi).

Postingan ini sepertinya salah dengan judulnya ya? Tidak. Keterangan diatas hanya sedikit saran saja. Sekarang saatnya beraksi. Hehehehe....Cara memecah file adalah sebagai berikut :

1. Tentunya kamu harus punya aplikasi Winrar. Bila belum punya, silahkan Download Winrar (File download nya ada di paling bawah tulisan ini)
2. Setelah terdownload, restart PC atau laptop kamu
3. Siapkan dan sorot file yang akan di pecah (bila semua file diletakkan dalam folder, sorot folder tersebut) dan klik kanan
4. Pilih "add to archive"
5. Tentukan nama hasil file di bawah "archive name" dan dimana kamu akan meletakkan hasilnya dengan menekan "browse" (sebelah kanan "archive name"
6. "Archive format" saya sarankan pilihan RAR, jangan ZIP (boleh juga menggunakan zip)
7. Pilih "compression method" dengan "normal" atau "fast" atau pilihan yang lain. Tergantung kalian.
8. "Split to volumes, byte" adalah seberapa besar file yang akan kita pecah. Misalkan file kita ukurannya 600 MB dan kita setting "split to volumes" dengan 200 MB maka akan ada 3 file, misal file1, file2, file3. Ingat, "split to volumes" ukurannya adalah byte. 1000 Byte = 1 KB dan 1000 KB = 1 MB. Jadi bila kamu cuma mengisikan 1000000 tanpa ukuran (misalnya MB), maka otomatis akan terdeteksi sebagai 1 MB.
9. Sekarang klik "OK" dan biarkan Winrar bekerja
10.Sedikit saran, lebih baik kamu membagi file dengan ukuran yang tidak terlalu besar karena bila kamu meng-copy 600 MB (misal) yang terdiri dari 1 file akan memakan waktu lebih lama dari pada meng-copy sekaligus 600 MB yang terdiri dari 3 file (3 file masing - masing berukuran 200 MB)

Karena file telah terbagi, sekarang silahkan kamu upload film atau lagu kesukaan kamu ke Rapidshare, 4shared atau yang lainnya. Sertakan semua file hasil pembagian tersebut karena 1 file saja tidak ada, maka kamu tidak bisa mengekstraknya menjadi file semula. Silahkan berkreasi....!!
